SCHOOL ENDS SUMMER BEGINS...

Ava graduated Canyon Preschool with the best teacher EVER, Ms. Kari. She is already learning to read!!! The whole year was filled with fun and learning. She had a blast!!!

Mac finished his first semester of preschool at Washington Elementary. He learned and progressed so much! His ability to follow directions and engage in group activities had improved the most. He loved every second of school and can't wait to go back :) I'm so proud of both of these kiddos and feel so blessed to be their mom!!!

The party has begun... I just love summer... Everything about it... Endless hours at the pool, long nights, fresh fruits, garden veggies, playing with my kids non-stop, BBQ, ice cream, etc...

We started the season right...
For Memorial day we went down in sunny St. George and enjoyed lots family time :)

SUN VALLEY 2011

Notice.... NO KIDS!!!  Let's just say this was the most relaxing Sun Valley trip ever!!!  However, we missed Garrett & Sarah, and April & Ben. 

It really was so nice to just do and not do whatever we wanted.  Kids are so much fun, but when they're gone you realize all the work they require.  

This trip was such a great time for Jake and I.  We felt like kids again.  I love him so much!!!  And we all LOVE Sun Valley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPRINT TRIATHLON

I had such a fun experience!!!  It was a good way to get my feet wet before I take on the big stuff.  I love my new bike especially for the fact that the kids love to ride with me in their trailer.  However, the hybrid just didn't get the job done in the race.  I couldn't believe the difference it made.  I will definitely have a racing bike for the next one.  The run and swim went surprisingly well.  I'm just going to work on my bike speed and I think a racing bike will do just the trick.  

It was fun to do the tri rather than just running.  I think this is what I'll train for in the future.  I just love the feeling of accomplishment and being with my family at the end.

NEMO!

My little fishy, Ava (aka... Nemo), just finished her second year of swimming lessons.  She really is becoming quite the swimmer.  She had fun learning from her teacher, Mike, whom I think she had a slight crush on.  He was actually really good with this all-girl class.  These girls giggled so much!!!  Especially when they went on floating plane rides with their teacher... Definitely Ava's favorite part!!!  She also loved being there with her friend, Rachel Fergurson.

Mac and I loved cheering her on from the sidelines and I also had fun catching up with my old friend, Nilly, who also had kids swimming at the same time.  

Lessons are over now, but we love to go swimming as much as possible.  

Being a mom in the summer is the best!

LA GETAWAY

You all thought I meant California, right?! Wrong... it was a lovely little getaway downtown... Little America to be exact!!!  It was a great vacation at Pop's hotel.  We had so much fun with Jake's entire family.  It was awesome to have everyone together especially April and Madison from Montana.  

We did LOTS of swimming!!!!!!  Ate LOADS of food... why does free food always taste better?  Ava's favorite, playing with the cousins.  TONS of relaxing.  Movie watching.  Celebrating Father's Day.

You work so hard for all of us and we appreciate you so much!!!

 Jake is honestly the most incredible husband in the world!!!  Everyday I ask myself how lucky and blessed I am to have him.  He is so dedicated to being a great dad.  The kids just adore him.  Somehow he manages to faithfully hold/magnify his a calling, work at a competitive job, support his crazy wife, play with his kids, and be the perfect example all the time.
